⚠️ Important Information Before You Book

Please take a moment to read the following points carefully so that we can ensure your care is managed safely and appropriately:

🚨 If your condition is urgent or time-critical, please contact NHS 111, your GP, or go directly to your nearest emergency department.
Private hospitals are not always equipped to manage emergency neurosurgical cases.

🏥 Urgent or emergency neurosurgical conditions may need to be treated within NHS pathways, which are designed to provide the fastest and safest access to specialist care.

💳 Private Health Insurance:
If you have private medical insurance, please speak with your insurer before booking.
Consultation fees may be higher than your insurer’s approved rates, so it’s best to confirm what is covered.

💰 Self-Funding Patients:
Payment for consultations must be made in advance.
If you later require NHS treatment, please note that further NHS appointments cannot be guaranteed with Mr Kay.

🧠 Referrals and Surgery:
Mr Kay may sometimes recommend alternative specialists or services if he believes this is in your best interests.
If you require surgery that needs NHS follow-up, he cannot guarantee that he will be the operating surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital — all NHS surgery is prioritised according to clinical need.

🩺 Eligibility:
Consultations are only available for patients who are registered with a GP in the UK.
Unfortunately, appointments are not available for patients living outside the UK.
